TOO SENSITIVE FOR THIS APP.
ALRIGHT, I CAN ADMIT THAT IS A BIT HARSH OF AN INTRODUCTION, BUT THE ONLY WAY THIS WORKS, IS IF WE ARE HONEST
I mean this will the upmost respect, but when did everyone get so annoying, myself included. Perhaps, it is not fair to dismsiss the constant oversharing of our opinions, feelings, and preferences as annoying, but it feels as though we have fallen into a cycle of all talk with no action. There's an endless supply of podcasts, chatbots, and short-form videos where you can hear a take that get you to nod your head in agreeance or shaking in rage that that someone feels, acts, and thinks different than you.
THE INVISIBLE THEY
Here, I am complaining that we all talk too much and endlessly share our opinions, while I write my thoughts here, for you to consume. I think that's the point. From what I know, humans feel a desire to conncect. To feel like they belong. Which is a welcome foil to having to fight to be seen. A fight that feels like boxing the invisible enemy.
I caution, that this journal document rantings of a madman , might become just a list of annoyances, but I have strong dislike for the invisible "they." This is typically reserved for when someone is writing about politics or in TikTok affirmations. It sounds like "they don't want to see me win," and "they want us to be unhappy."
My question when I come across this writing, is to question who is the "they" and how did "they" get so much power.
WHAT AM I TRYING TO SAY?
I WISH WE TREATED WORDS LIKE THEY HAVE VALUE.
HOW?
BY SHOWING HOW POWERFUL WORDS CAN BE.
WHERE IS THIS COMING FROM?
WHEN I STARTED UNPARTY I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BUILD A NEW WAY TO SEARCH AND CONNECT WITH LIKES AND PASSIONS. ALONG THE WAY, I LEARNED THAT I WAS NOT EVEN SURE WHAT I WAS SEARCHING FOR.
