questions about building unparty.app.
owning it.
do i own what i build?
yes. the code lives in your own GitHub, your app runs on your own Vercel account, and your data sits in your own database.
what you ownwhy did you build this?
i wanted to.
what you ownwhat happens to my site if unparty.app goes away?
nothing. unparty is built as software you own. once you download and start building your unparty, it is yours as in it runs on your own accounts, and nothing calls back to unparty.
what does it run on?
GitHub for your code, Vercel to host it, Neon for your database and Clerk for sign-in. each one connects in its own setup step.
the setup stepshow do i make it look like my business?
one file holds your name, your founder profile and your brand colors. try your colors on the page before you save them, and every page, link preview and button follows.
make it yourscost.
what does it cost to run?
it can start at $0 a month: every service it needs has a free plan. you choose what to add as you grow, like a domain, email or payments, and see the cost before you add it.

do i need to know how to code?
no. 29 setup steps walk you through it in plain words, 15 to get your site running and 14 more when you want them. each step is an article with exactly what to click and type.
the setup stepswhat is my site made of?
components, each one listed with an article on what it does and how to connect it. every project page ends with the parts it's built from, so nothing is hidden.
the componentsdo i have to use AI?
no. unparty works without large language models. if you want one, you connect your own key, so you decide what it costs and what it sees.
