Information We Collect

Personal Information

We collect personal information that you provide to us, such as your name, email address, and any other information you submit through the app.

User Content

Content you create or upload within the app (for example, messages or images) is collected so that we can provide the service to you.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use the app, such as features you interact with, the time spent, and other usage statistics to help us improve the app.

Device Information

We may collect information about the device you use to access the app (like device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers) for compatibility and security purposes.

Data Usage

Service Delivery

We use the collected information to operate and provide the core features of the app, ensuring functionality and a personalized user experience.

Improvement & Development

Your data helps us diagnose issues, understand usage patterns, and improve the app's performance and features over time.

AI Processing

Content you provide may be sent to our AI service providers (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) to generate responses or analyses as part of the app's functionality.

Communication

If you provide contact information, we may use it to send you important updates, respond to support requests, or share information about new features (you can opt out of non-essential communications).

Bring Your Own Key

We support a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) option for API access management. This means you may use your own API keys to access services on our platform (for example, making requests to unparty.app or unparty.app/api). Your API key remains under your control and is not collected by us except as needed for authentication. If you provide your own key, we use it only to authenticate and process your requests; it is stored only as long as necessary (and encrypted if stored). If your key is intended for a third-party service, requests made with it will be sent to that third party, and any data in those requests will be handled according to that third party’s privacy policy. We do not use or share your BYOK credentials for any purpose other than to facilitate the services you choose to access.

Third-Party Services

OpenAI

We may use OpenAI's API services to process and generate text (for example, to answer your questions or provide recommendations). Your relevant inputs may be sent to OpenAI's servers for processing, and OpenAI may temporarily store and use this data for monitoring and improvement in line with their privacy policy.

Anthropic

We may use Anthropic's AI services as an alternative to OpenAI for processing your requests and generating responses. Similarly, your inputs may be sent to Anthropic for processing, and Anthropic may retain the data temporarily for safety and quality purposes in accordance with their policies.

Pinecone

We may use Pinecone to store and manage vector representations of your data (embeddings) for quick search and retrieval, which helps the app provide contextually relevant responses.

Apple CloudKit

We may use Apple's CloudKit to securely store and sync certain data on Apple's iCloud servers. This means your app data may be backed up to your private iCloud account under Apple's security and privacy policies.

Apple MusicKit

We integrate Apple's MusicKit service to enable music playback within the app. Playback requires an active Apple Music subscription. You will be prompted to authorize your Apple Music account through Apple's secure authentication system. We do not collect, store, or share any data from your Apple Music account, including your listening history, playlists, or music preferences. All Apple Music authentication and playback is handled directly by Apple's servers. Your use of Apple Music features is subject to Apple's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Vercel

Our backend services and website are hosted on Vercel. When you use the app or our web services, your data (such as API requests or logs) may be processed and stored on Vercel's servers.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share your data with the above third-party services to help us operate the app, and we ensure each service has appropriate data protection measures.

Data Retention

Retention Period

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. After that, we will delete or anonymize the data.

User Deletion Requests

If you delete your account or request deletion of your data, we will remove your personal information from our active databases. Some information may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before being automatically deleted.

Ongoing Review

We periodically review the data we hold and delete or anonymize information that we no longer need for business or legal purposes.

Data Security

Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (when your data is sent between your device and our servers) and encryption at rest (when stored).

Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that compromises your personal data, we will notify you as soon as possible and provide information about what happened and any steps you should take.

User Rights

Access & Correction

You have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you and to ask for corrections if that information is inaccurate or out of date.

Deletion

You can request that we delete your personal data. When you ask us to delete your data, we will remove your information from our active systems unless we have a legal obligation to keep it.

Withdrawal of Consent

If our app ever relies on your consent for a certain data use, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, which will stop that specific processing.

Data Portability

You can request a copy of the data you have provided to us in a common format, so you can transfer it to another service if needed.

Opt-Out

Marketing Communications

If we send promotional emails or newsletters, you can opt out by using the unsubscribe link in those communications or by contacting us directly.

AI Data Processing

If you are uncomfortable with your data being used for AI processing, you may choose not to use certain AI-driven features of the app. Note that core functionality may depend on these features.

Analytics

You can opt out of any optional analytics or data collection by adjusting your app or device settings, if such options are available, or by contacting us to express your preferences.

Children's Privacy

Under 13

Our app is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years old.

Parental Guidance

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided personal data in the app, please contact us so we can delete the information.

Changes to Privacy Policy

Notice

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.

Notification

If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. We will also update the "Last Updated" date at the top of the policy.

Continued Use

By continuing to use the app after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective, you accept the terms of the new policy.

Trademark Notices

Apple Trademarks

API Access Opt-Out

If you prefer not to use our API or to have your data accessible via API, you can opt out by simply not enabling API access. You are not required to generate or use an API key for unparty’s services. If you have an API key and wish to revoke it, you can do so through your account settings or by contacting us. Opting out of API access means your account data will not be retrievable through our API, though you can continue to use the app’s core features normally.

Marketing Opt-Out

We may occasionally send newsletters or product updates. You can opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by using the unsubscribe link provided in our emails or adjusting your preferences in the app settings. Once you opt out, we will stop sending you promotional messages. (Note: opting out of marketing communications won’t affect administrative or account-related notifications, which you may still receive as needed for service.)

AI Feature Opt-Out

Some features in our app use AI processing to enhance your experience (for example, generating creative suggestions or content recommendations). Participation in these AI-driven features is optional. If you do not want your data to be used for AI features, you may disable these features in the app settings or refrain from using them. When you opt out of AI features, any data you provide will not be sent to our AI modules for analysis or model training. This ensures your data is only used for basic functionality, though it may limit certain enhanced features.

SDK Disclosure

AppAuth

Used for secure user authentication (OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect flows). We integrate the AppAuth library to allow login via external identity providers. AppAuth is an open-source SDK and is listed on Apple’s third-party SDK compliance list for requiring a privacy manifest.

Charts

Used for in-app data visualization. We include the Charts library to display graphs and charts for your data. This library is also listed on Apple’s third-party SDK compliance list that requires a privacy manifest, even though it does not collect personal data by itself.

Image Picker (UIImagePickerController)

Used for image selection and camera functionality. We use Apple’s built-in UIImagePickerController for letting you pick images or take photos in the app. Because it accesses your camera and photos (with permission), Apple includes it in the SDKs that require disclosure and a privacy manifest.
