unparty started as an idea. Well alot of ideas.

The most consistent idea was that one of the best ways to connect is through creativity. Thinking through a problem as a collective and growing together from trying, failing, iterating, and succeeding.

I had a few problems though. I had no collective and my confidence was shot.

While walking in dtla a man told me to "shut the f- up." Mind you I was not even speaking. However, he did have a point. Inside my mind was racing. Looking back on some of my early misfires of getting this project off of the ground, was less so of "wow they are not taking me seriously" and more "man I wish I took myself more seriously."

When I started unparty.app I had a dollar and a dream. Now some days it still feels like I have a dollar and delusion. Lately it feels like something I will feel proud of.

Not to be soapboxy here, but growth really does take time. In the beginning, I tried every build it quick app you can imagine. No Code/ Low Code, pleading with ChatGPT, and begging Claude to give me all the code for some big ideas.

To me I realized relatively quick that AI just feeds those moments of quick validation.

You can generate tools, ideas, and audacity, but connecting and applying it in the real world is a totally different game.
