STARTING SOMEWHERE.

this is starting somewhere.

unparty.app did not start as one app. It started as a blog called somewhere, in May 2024. Every time I hit a problem while building, I built an app to answer it. Ten of them later, they became this one.

somewhere. a place to start: a blog with about, build and connect, before there was anything to build. it became the stories and articles you write on your site.

docs. the technical stuff, written down so I could find it again. it became the setup articles that walk you through your copy.

charette. coloring my world. it became your brand colors, tried on before you save them.

unppp. a journal to shut up and write in, and steps for when journaling is not your thing. it became your stories and your steps.

api. searching everything I had written. it became search across your own site.

crawler. crawling through my own ideas for the words I kept coming back to. it became your words, and deleting your doubts.

runway. knowing what building costs before I start. it became your baseline, and the budget behind every goal.

builder. sorting my builds by what kind of build they are. it became the eight kinds of builds, each with its own place.

unseen. claiming the work nobody sees. it became writing your stories and articles right in your site.

month by month.

one line is every commit to the nine unppps. the other is every commit to unparty.app. i built the unppps first. now nearly all my work goes into the app.

what it became.

each one was a part that answered one problem, and the site keeps them that way. your words, pictures and projects are kept apart from the parts that show them, and one page draws them all. that is why you change your site by changing what you write, not the code. see the parts.

the hours behind it are measured from the work itself, not guessed: what the work shows.
